I am a photojournalist based out of Salem, Oregon working on staff at the Statesman Journal, part of the USA Today Network. Previously I have worked for the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls, S.D., Chautauquan Daily in New York and my hometown paper, the Paducah Sun.

I pick up my camera with the goal in mind to make images that tell a story and reveal the nuances of the human experience. When I'm not making photos, I'm creating elsewhere. I enjoy tending to my patio garden, making custom earrings or spinning a Dolly Parton record on my thrifted turntable.

I was awarded second place for my portfolio by the Oregon SPJ in 2022. I have received awards from the South Dakota Newspaper Association in 2019 and the Oregon Newspaper Publisher Association in 2020.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism with a minor in Political Science from Western Kentucky University.

My work has been featured in USA Today, The New York Times, The Oregonian, The Seattle Times and The Associated Press.
